Thursday: water temp 62.4 NW 1-5mph in the a.m. / 63.5 NW 6-8mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Whiting, Flounder, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel


Friday: water temp 63.1 WNW 8-12mph in the a.m. / 63.5 SSE 4-6mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Red and Black Drum, Sheepshead.


Saturday: water temp 64.2 SSE 1-5mph in the a.m. / 64.6 W 1-5mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Sheepshead were biting Ghost Shrimp. A few Whiting, a few Pompano, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Sharks. 


Sunday: water temp 64.9 NE 1-5mph in the a.m. / 66.2 SE 5-7mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Spanish Mackerel and a few small Whiting


Monday: water temp 65.5 SW 15-20mph in the a.m. - by 09:20a.m. the wind switched to NNW and was 20-28mph. / 64.6 NNW 9-15 in the p.m.  The water was clean. Spanish Mackerel on large Sabikis. One Black Drum, Flounder and Bonita. 


Tuesday: water temp 60.4 N 9-15 in the a.m. then dropped to 59.2 by noon / 60.4 NNW 6-12mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Lots of Bluefish.


Wednesday: water temp 56.7 N 12-15mph in the a.m. / 60.8 W 12-15mph in the p.m. The water was clean.

Red Tide status: Over the past week, the red tide organism, Karenia brevis, was observed in 30 samples from Northwest Florida and one sample from Southwest Florida (see Statewidetable1223). Bloom concentrations (>100,000 cells/liter) were observed in three samples from Northwest Florida (Bay County). We continue to monitor satellite imagery (USF and NOAA NCCOS) to help track nearshore and offshore conditions. Imagery from December 22 showed slightly elevated chlorophyll in estuarine waters of Franklin County. Fish Kills: Fish kills suspected to be related to red tide were reported to FWC's Fish Kill Hotline or other partners over the past week in Northwest Florida (Bay and Gulf counties)

FRIDAY NIGHT
Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots, increasing to 15 to 20 knots after midnight. Seas 3 to 5 feet, occasionally to 6 feet. Wave Detail: Southwest 4 feet at 5 seconds. Protected waters choppy. A slight chance of showers in the evening, then a chance of showers after midnight.

SATURDAY
Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots, increasing to 20 to 25 knots in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 feet, occasionally to 8 feet. Protected waters rough. A chance of thunderstorms. Showers.

SATURDAY NIGHT
West winds 15 to 20 knots, becoming north after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 feet, occasionally to 8 feet. Protected waters choppy. Showers likely with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then a slight chance of showers after midnight.

SUNDAY
North winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet, occasionally to 6 feet. Protected waters a moderate chop.

SUNDAY NIGHT
Northeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas around 3 feet. Protected waters a light chop.
